Fine Organics Selects Union County for First U.S. Manufacturing Facility

July 10, 2025

Fine Organic Industries Limited, a global manufacturer of specialty additives for the food and beverage industry, has selected Union County for its first U.S. manufacturing facility. The project represents a $50 million investment and will create 60 new jobs in Jonesville.

The facility will be located at Trakas Industrial Park, a site made viable through long-term infrastructure planning, including the extension of industrial-grade sewer service along the Highway 176 corridor. That investment proved critical in positioning the site for advanced manufacturing use.

Union County worked closely with engineering partners, utility providers, the City of Union, and the South Carolina Department of Commerce to support the project through multiple site visits and a lengthy evaluation process. The company ultimately purchased the entire industrial park, signaling confidence in Union County as a long-term U.S. base of operations.

The project adds a new sector of specialty chemical manufacturing to Union County’s economy and strengthens the community’s growing portfolio of global investment.
